There, far beyond Pluto, in the icy depths where the Sun is just one star among many, lies a world still invisible : Planet Nine.
Never directly observed, this planet is a fascinating hypothesis born from an astronomical mystery: several objects in the Kuiper Belt follow strangely aligned orbits, as if influenced by a hidden force. Scientists believe it could be a massive planet, about 5 to 10 times larger than Earth, orbiting at hundreds of times the Earth-Sun distance.
What makes it unique is precisely its mystery. It would represent a new type of icy world, a relic of the early Solar System, perhaps driven to the outer reaches after the birth of the giant planets. If it exists, it would bring to a close a century-old quest: the search for the true ninth planet.
Whether it is a gravitational phantom or a world yet to be found, Planet Nine embodies the spirit of discovery : a reminder that the Universe has not yet revealed all its secrets… and that there is always something extraordinary to look for.
