Meteoroids are small fragments of rock and metal that drift between the planets, remnants of the turbulent early days of our Solar System. Some come from ancient, fractured asteroids, while others are born from comets that leave dust behind, like stardust fragments. They are called meteoroids if they are heading towards Earth but have not yet entered the atmosphere.
What makes them unique is their size and their role in the grand cosmic cycle : smaller than an asteroid, but larger than a grain of dust, these interplanetary travelers are the seeds of celestial fire. When a meteoroid enters Earth's atmosphere, it becomes a meteor, shining instantly in the sky, and if it reaches the ground, it becomes a meteorite.
Every meteoroid floating in space is a fragment of cosmic history, a piece of rock that has survived collisions, billions of years of drifting, and sometimes… a spectacular encounter with our planet.
These tiny wanderers are fragments of a stellar past, the dust from which everything began. They find our planet charming, and we've made them charming enough for you to add to your sticker collection!
