CD4+ T lymphocyte (helper)

CD4+ (helper) T cells are the conductors of the immune system. These cells analyze invading microbes and give orders to the body's other soldiers, such as B cells and CD8+ (cytotoxic) cells. CD4+ T cells will also motivate the team so that the defense is faster, more effective, and more well-coordinated!

NEWS FLASH: Some viruses (like HIV) will hijack the immune system by infecting these cells specifically, making the immune response much less effective!
