Memory B lymphocyte

After initial contact with an intruder, an invader, or after a vaccine, memory B cells will "record" the identity of the microbe. If the same intruder ever decides to return to the body, these cells react ultra-quickly and produce antibodies (small immune molecules that serve to neutralize intruders), so that the invaders do not cause infection!
