The Moon, Earth's faithful companion, is much more than a simple luminous disc in the sky: it is a living witness to the birth of the Solar System.
It is believed to have formed about 4.5 billion years ago, after a giant collision between the young Earth and another Mars-sized star called Theia. The debris from this impact came together to form our natural satellite (in fact, pieces of this star are still under the Earth's crust!).

Its gray surface, marked by craters, dark plains called “lunar seas,” and mountain ranges, tells of billions of years of impacts and volcanic eruptions. Some regions, such as the Sea of Tranquility, still bear witness to the first human footsteps in 1969.

But what makes the Moon truly unique is its intimate relationship with Earth :
1. Its gravity causes ocean tides, a phenomenon vital to marine life.
2. It stabilizes the Earth's tilt, which helps maintain regular seasons.
3. And, by perfect cosmic chance, it's at exactly the right distance to appear almost the same size as the Sun in our sky, an alignment that makes spectacular total eclipses possible!

Moreover, the Moon has neither atmosphere nor weather , which means that it keeps intact the traces of the past : its craters are celestial archives.
And even today, it attracts attention and dreams: several space missions are preparing humanity's return to its soil, paving the way for a future lunar base.

NEWS FLASH: The word "moon" comes from the Latin luna, which means "to illuminate," given its brilliance at night!

Sticking the Moon is a celebration of our ancestral connection with the cosmos , an invitation to dream big and to remember that even in the darkest night, there is always a sparkle watching over us. Moreover, the Moon is waiting for you in sticker format on our site!
