Legionella pneumophila

Legionella pneumophila is a water lover... but not just any water: it loves to settle in hot water systems like showers, jacuzzis, cooling towers and other comfortable tanks. Once installed, it forms a biofilm, a sticky and protective layer, perfect for multiplying out of sight.

How does it spread? It spreads through hot water vapor. When inhaled, it can cause Legionnaires' disease, also known as Legionnaires' disease : fever, dry cough, difficulty breathing, and sometimes even confusion and digestive problems.
