Io

Io, one of Jupiter's four Galilean moons (named after the astronomer who discovered them, Galileo Galilei), is the most volcanic world in the Solar System ! NEWS FLASH: In Greek mythology, Io is a priestess of Hera, who was courted by Zeus. To protect her from his wife, Zeus transforms Io into a heifer (young cow). Hera, suspicious, asks for the beast as a gift and places her under the watchful eye of the hundred-eyed giant Argus. Zeus sends Hermes to kill Argus, then Hera sends a horsefly that chases Io to Egypt where she returns to her human form and gives birth to Epaphus (a king of Egypt).
