Europa, one of Jupiter's moons, is a world of ice and mystery. It is one of the four Galilean moons, named after the famous astronomer who discovered them, Galileo! Its smooth, snow-white surface hides something extraordinary: a saltwater ocean beneath its thick, icy crust! This ocean may contain more water than all of Earth's seas combined, and some scientists believe it may even support life !

What also makes Europa unique is its surface, marked by red veins and giant fractures, caused by Jupiter's gravitational forces pulling and folding the moon like a ball of dough. These cracks are all signs of its internal activity; proof that Europa is not a frozen world, but a living and dynamic one.

In Greek mythology, Zeus fell in love with the beauty of Europa, a Phoenician princess. He transformed himself into a magnificent white bull with gentle eyes. Attracted by her beauty, Europa climbed onto his back, and Zeus carried her across the sea to the island of Crete. There, he regained his divine form and made Europa the queen of Crete. From their union, several children were born, including Rhadamanthus, Sarpedon, and Minos. The latter was the future king of Crete and famous judge of the Underworld. The continent of Europe is named after this mythical princess.

Sticking on Europa's sticker is like taking with you a symbol of scientific hope and cosmic mystery: a reminder that even in the cold of space, life could find its way. In fact, its sticker awaits you on our store website!
