Ceres is the largest dwarf planet in the asteroid belt, between Mars and Jupiter, with a diameter of about 940 km. This small world is unique: its surface is a mixture of rock and ice, dotted with craters, mountains and mysterious bright spots (some could be salt deposits, shining like stars against a dark sky)!
But the most fascinating thing is that Ceres could harbor water beneath its surface, a clue about the distribution of water in the Solar System and, why not, the possibility of microbial life. Observing Ceres, we touch an ancient and mysterious world, witness to the beginnings of our planetary system.
FUN FACT: This dwarf planet's name comes from the Greek word "cer ," meaning "to grow." This makes Ceres associated with the Greek goddess of the harvest, fertility, and wheat.
Sticking on Ceres' sticker is like transporting a fragment of mystery and cosmic ice directly onto your notebook, your computer... or your imaginary rocket! Luckily, its sticker is available on our store's website!
